About Me

I grew up in Texas, the son of a Colombian immigrant. My dad was a hard working OBGYN and, early in his career, a pioneer in in vitro fertilization. Medicine and health were table talk in our house.

I didn’t go pre-med. I studied mechanical engineering and physics instead, and the projects and research I took on taught me how to build and think like a scientist. Particle detectors, drones, aquaponic systems, bio-feedback devices, 3D printed medical scans; I love to build.

The most interesting engineering project I've worked on? The body and mind. Exploring human potential and longevity has been the overarching project in my life. Blackout curtains. Fasting. Meditation. Experimental diets. Qigong. Endurance sports. Jiu Jitsu. Breath work. Saunas. The list goes on.

My Wife

In 2025, I married the love of my life, and shortly after we welcomed our son. Around his first birthday, a minor upper respiratory infection sent him to the ER. As a new father, it was unlike anything I’d felt before.

Two things hit me at once. First, that health is the only thing that really matters. I’d trade everything I have for my son to be well. Second, anger. Why are so many people (LIKE MY SON) still suffering from sickness and disease?

Increasing healthspan became my life’s mission. Mine, my family’s, and anyone else who will let me help. But where to start? Well, throughout my son's trip to the ER I was using an AI chat session that had all of the context (the doctors and nurses didn't) to help us make the right decisions. It was invaluable.

So I'm starting there. A longevity AI called MAXX that I'm building as an n of 1 (for me). When I'm confident it's the best longevity AI on Earth and will actually help increase your healthspan in a meaningful way, I'll open access to the community.

Until then - to the future, without fear!
